In 2016, I had to shut down my two-year-old startup abruptly. The oil and gas industry experienced a 70% drop in oil prices, triggering an economic recession that left me unable to operate further.

Because I was not fast enough to understand what my customers valued, I couldn't deliver the user experience fast enough to survive an industry meltdown, taking my startup down with it.

I learned the following lesson:

Do whatever it takes to close the gap between you and your customers.

Fast.

Today, I relentlessly apply this philosophy to all aspects of my product development process.

Why? Because I never want to feel that sense of loss and disappointment again.

I started the Triangle Offense blog to share my experience and the methods I've learned over the past decade with you.

I don't pretend to know everything; even after a decade of building products, customers will teach me something new that I must account for.

When not making things online, I enjoy hiking in the Montana mountains, discovering second-hand bookstores, and spending time with my family.

Please feel free to contact me if we should work together.
